Stevens Pass Powder December 21st 2010 - Solstice

I had a late start today due to a bit of work but managed to rally up to Stevens Pass for 3 runs in the death chutes. Still a little thin in the chutes but you can get through them easy enough. The snow remains high quality blower powder where it's untouched. I did manage to get inside the ski area today and the packed runs are offering really good edge-able skiing and quite carvable. Here are a couple images of the Birdman on the 2010 Winter Solstice and the shortest day of 2010!

Here is a bit from Wikipedia : A solstice is an astronomical event that happens twice each year when the Sun's apparent position in the sky reaches its northernmost or southernmost extremes.
